Fuel for home heating: specify either

Air travel: The government says the average is 42.6 person miles per gallon, though more if the plane is fully loaded and variable according to type of plane and other factors. This means that if you are the sole occupant of a car that gets 42.6 mpg, flying and driving have equivalent carbon use. If you have a passenger, driving is better.Specify either

Fuel to create electricity: One estimate is that it takes a gallon of fuel oil to produce 17 kWh delivered to a home.Specify either
